How to support us?
We are a charity organisation that depends on volunteer labour in order to create and maintain our community and make our events. This comes with a myriad of tasks that, for some of us, make Poltergeist LARP e.V. an unpaid part-time job – for some project-based, for some on a permanent basis.
These tasks include for example

Admin work both on our Community platform and on our different websites

Emails & communications

Creative work for game design and game content

Graphic design & other media work for our games, announcements and websites

Logistical tasks for each event, organising the storage, preparing scenography and tech
Many things we do also cost money, even outside of our events!
Some of these things include for example

Website fees

Storage rental and maintaining the storage

Administrative goods like printer equipment etc.

Overarching scenography needed for most general events – like various tech equipment.
Most of these expenses are covered by our event incomes, as we aim to run all our events in a way that keeps us and the organisation financially secure. It also limits any extra expenses we can allow ourselves. In busy years, it means that we struggle putting down location deposits for all events before ticket sales open – because we do not have the kind of buffer that isn't tied to other projects. It means that when an event doesn't sell as well as we think, we sometimes cannot run the events at all or allow for
prolonged sign up periods.

Some projects are deliberately kept at a low budget to make them accessible to more people – for example our childrens' larps which are barely covering anything, really.
Your donations can help us with these things!
Project-independent donations help us put the money where it's needed, may it be more advanced scenography for the children's larp, deposits for locations we could otherwise not rent, unexpected
water damage in our storage, free tickets for financially challenged members of our community –
the possibilities are endless!

Every cent helps advance Poltergeist LARP e.V. in what it could be and achieve. We have big dreams of making Poltergeist an even cooler, safer and more accessible space for our community and the people who might become part of it over time.
